Renovation Work Begins at Port Primary School
On 4 August, RGWE began renovation work at Port Primary School in collaboration with RSWE. This school is crucial as it serves as the only educational institution for the port area, which currently suffers from a lack of essential services and proper facilities for quality education.
The renovation began after the school was handed over by the Educational Buildings Authority to the contractor responsible for the project. The goal is to modernise the school's infrastructure, making it a more welcoming and efficient learning environment for the students.
The project involves several key upgrades, including roof treatment and insulation to protect against weather conditions, repainting the classrooms with high-grade materials, and completely overhauling the bathrooms to ensure a safe and hygienic space for the children. Progress is going smoothly, and the work is expected to be completed by October. Once finished, the renovated school will offer students a significantly improved learning environment, enhancing their overall educational experience and benefiting the community as a whole.

Summer Internship Training
On 11 August, RGWE organised summer internship training for engineering students and graduates, with the participation of 16 trainees over five days. The training aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of wind-farm operation and maintenance, with a strong focus on environmental safety and the protection of migratory birds. RGWE engineers emphasised their continued availability to support the students and answer any questions regarding O&M of wind farms. This training period provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills, with continuous interaction between students and engineers.
The summer training program was a successful and fruitful experience. The students gained extensive knowledge in wind-farm operation and maintenance and were able to apply what they learned through practical activities and site visits. A special thanks to the engineers for their significant efforts and continuous guidance, which greatly contributed to the success of this training period.

Tree Planting to Promote Sustainable Development in Ras Ghareb
On 20 August, as part of our commitment to sustainable development and the importance of trees in preserving the environment, we planted 8 trees at the entrances of projects we developed in Ras Ghareb city. Four trees were planted at the entrance of the Community Development Nursery in the port area, two in front of Abad Al-Rahman Nursery, and two at the entrance of Ras Ghareb Hospital.

Completion of Furnishing the Community Development Nursery in the Port Area
On 25 August, RGWE completed furnishing the Community Development Nursery in the port area by providing a manager's desk with a drawer unit and two reception chairs. On 16 September, we supplied the nursery with a refrigerator and a water cooler.

Re-Carbon and EcoSecurities Visit at the RGWE Site
The RGWE team welcomed representatives from Re-Carbon and EcoSecurities. Re-Carbon reviewed the station's progress and held meetings with local stakeholders, including Bedouins residing near the station. An open meeting and discussion also took place with local stakeholders at Ras Ghareb City Council, chaired by the Council President, and attended by the directors of education, health, social solidarity, and representatives from nurseries, schools, and the Educational Buildings Authority.

Reusable Bottles to Reduce Plastic Use
As part of RGWE's commitment to environmental preservation and reducing plastic use at the RGWE site, we provided all site teams with reusable bottles as an alternative to plastic.

Scholarship Program
Under the scholarship sponsorship agreement signed in 2018 — subsequently amended in 2023 with the education representative of Ras Ghareb Municipality — the scholarship coverage period is four years and the monthly scholarship amount is EGP 2,500. RGWE has granted scholarships to 14 students this cycle, including 7 recipients from the previous year. After a thorough evaluation of the applications, the committee — composed of the Director of the Educational Department, the Educational Department Scholarship Coordinator, and the CSR Officer — unanimously selected 7 new recipients for the academic year 2024–2025.
