Q3 2021 CSR Update — COVID-19 Hospital Donation, Scholarship Milestone & Eid Charity

By RGWE CSR Team

The third quarter of 2021 was framed by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and our response to it. While our site teams operated under the strictest contamination-reduction measures, the company delivered targeted support to the local healthcare system, marked the third anniversary of our university scholarship programme, hosted national leadership trainees on a site visit, and ran an employee-led Eid charity distribution across Ras Ghareb city.

Donation of Medical Devices to Ras Ghareb Hospital

In June 2021, Ras Ghareb Wind Energy delivered a set of medical devices for the treatment of COVID-19 patients to Ras Ghareb Hospital. The equipment was selected with the hospital's clinical team to fill specific gaps in respiratory care and patient monitoring during the wave, allowing the hospital to continue serving the Ras Ghareb community without compromising standards of care. In parallel, the company adopted strict contamination-reduction measures across the wind farm to protect operational continuity and the health of its staff and contractors.

Three Years of Scholarship Support

June 2021 marked the completion of the third academic year of our university scholarship programme for eleven Ras Ghareb students. The programme covers tuition and educational expenses and is paired with regular academic follow-up. The fourth year of support resumed in September 2021.

Stakeholders' Site Visit — Presidential Leadership Programme

The wind farm welcomed trainees from the National Training Academy enrolled in the Presidential Programme for Qualifying Executives for Leadership in the Governorates. The visit included an operational briefing and an exchange on local development priorities and how the project participates in service delivery for the city of Ras Ghareb.

Eid Charity — Meat Distribution Boxes

Employees of Ras Ghareb Wind Energy organised an Eid charity initiative, purchasing and distributing more than 80 kilograms of fresh meat in food boxes to families in need across Ras Ghareb. Recipient families were prioritised in coordination with the city's charity offices and active social workers to make sure the boxes reached the households where they would have the greatest impact.
