Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy provides 125 wind turbines of type G97 and rating 2.1MW with a hub height of 71m.
Orascom Construction provides Civil Works and Electrical Systems. This package includes (i) the turbines foundations, (ii) the site buildings and control room, (iii) the site roads, (iv) a network of 33kV cabling collecting the energy generated by the wind turbines, and (v) an on-site substation with step-up transformers to enable connection with the regional Suez Gulf 220kV overhead transmission line.
The project also entered into a 15-year Long Term Service Agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
